Q: When
should I use ITC’s?
A: Use
ITC’s when
you want to make a superior connection to coaxial cable
and you want to do it faster without searching for
one more tool. Managing a team of installation techs?
Your job just became a little bit easier and your team
more productive.

Q: Does
this really make a good connection with
the wire? Is it reliable?
RG6/RG59 and 24 AWG AudioQuest Solution:
A: Yes.
The unique design of ITC (with its Torsional
Strain Relief system of rotating teeth)
provides a superior mechanical termination
to the cable jacket that is VERY difficult to break. In
addition, the Lotus-Grip System™ (spring-tensioned
mechanism) in the center pin of the ITC holds firm
to the center conductor for a very secure electrical
connection. ITC provides the ideal mechanical AND
electrical connection.
Mini Coax Solution:
A: Yes. Thanks
to our Grip-Lock System™ (which
offers a vice-like grip on the center conductor when twisting
the connector together) you are assured a perfect electrical
connection. Please see our video for a detailed look.

Q: What’s
Torsional Strain Relief System and why should
I care?
A: All installers will relate
to this one. How many times has your run of RG-6 (coming
up from the back of the rack) nearly lifted the component
off the shelf due to the twisted torsion of the cable?
Imagine the strain on the fragile rear jack of the component!
The Torsional Strain Relief System utilizes a free-revolving
set of teeth in the ITC plug. This allows rotation of
the cable without removing the connector or
bending the wire, which can change the impendence and
degrade the performance of the cable. ITC makes wire
management a breeze.

Q: What
kind of wire will work with ITC?
RG6/RG59 and 24 AWG AudioQuest Soluton:
A: Darn near all of them.
We have tested the top 10 brands and despite highly
variable ODs (Overall Diameter), ITC makes a firm
mechanical grip and a secure electrical contact.
Mini Coax Solution:
A: ITC works with most 25-26
AWG mini coax depending on the manufacturer’s specs. Essentially
everything with an OD between 2.6mm & 2.9mm will
work with ITC.

Q: Do
you have a solution for identifying the connectors
via color-coding?
A: Yes.
Our 50 count bags include over 85 easy-peel stickers
colored to industry standards for component, composite,
audio, digital audio and subwoofer.

Q: What
should I do with my compression tool?
A: Trash it.

Q: If ITC’s aren’t
crimped or compressed, how do they achieve adequate grip?
RG6/RG59 and 24 AWG AudioQuest Solution
A: The ITC tooth-ring grabs
hold of the jacket, thereby attaining greater pull force
results than industry standards for crimp and compression
methods – over 70 lbs!
In addition, the Lotus-Grip System™ (spring-tensioned
mechanism) in the center pin of the ITC holds firm to the
center conductor for a very secure electrical connection.
ITC provides the ideal mechanical AND electrical connection.
Mini Coax Solution
A: Achieving pull force ratings
greater than compression standards, the grip provided by
locking onto the braid results in over 20 lbs pull force.

Q: What if I accidentally
leave a braid to center conductor short after making the
termination?
A: No problem. Check
out our videos for very simple instructions on how to easily
reuse the connectors. Please
see our videos for a detailed look.

Q: Are
ITC’s weatherproof?
A: ITC’s alone are not weatherproof. However when
ITC’s are used with weatherproof boots, they become,
effectively weatherproof.

Q: Does the ITC system really
save time?
A: Yes. ITC’s
don’t cost any more so the
time you save has a very direct affect on your bottom line
savings. The more ITC terminations performed in one
installation, the more time you’ll save. ITC installers
report, on average, a 30% labor savings vs. compression when
building racks and head-ends.

Q: What kind of packaging
do you offer?
A: ITC is a brand designed
with the needs of the installation community in mind. ITC
connectors come in 50 count bags that include a sheet of
color-coding stickers.
